Doc Brown’s BBQ
Boston native Dave Brown moved to the Carolinas 20 years ago to earn a doctorate in history, and ended up falling in love with and becoming a student of Southern barbecue as well. After moving to Asheville he decided to invest his learning into a food truck, and he serves up some of the best BBQ in the city almost every day at his regular spots.
Zia Taqueria
Local restaurateur Robert Tipsword and his team opened shop in Asheville and Charleston, SC with the goal of authentically representing New Mexican cuisine, and four years later the venture has been a great success. Chilis from Hatch, NM are featured abundantly alongside regional ingredients straight from weekly tailgate markets, seven days a week.
