Eating Asheville has garnered thousands of 5-star reviews since its launch in 2011! Check out what our happy tour participants have to say below.
Loved our tour! We did “The Cold One” tour with Lindsay. We were only one other couple, but we had a great time! We actually wanted to book the “High roller” tour, but it was already full by the time we booked. We were not disappointed at all with this tour and ended up liking it more than we expected. All the breweries we visited we had not yet been to and at each one we were able to try beers from that brewery and snacks! We will definitely try one of the other tours they offer on our next visit!
So fun! Our tour guide Savannah was the best! We loved the food and site-seeing! Citizen vinyl was a really fun first stop.
Great Experience Ate at restaurants I would have never tried on my own. Our guide was knowledgeable and fun. We also learned some history about Asheville.
Sign up you won't regret it! This is the second year in a row that we booked an Eating Asheville tour after Thanksgiving. We will locally and have family visiting for Thanksgiving. Such a fun way to see the city and visit new restaurants. Lindsey was our tour guide and she was great! BTW, two years in a row and we did not have any repeat restaurants! We think it is now our new family post Thanksgiving tradition!
Book this tour and ask for Lindsey! The food was great (as expected), but the knowledge shared and getting to know the other people in our group made it fun and so worthwhile. Not to mention it was a clear, beautiful Fall day in an awesome town. First stop was at Baba Nahm and we had an exquisite falafel pita sandwich. By far, the best falafel I've ever had. It was made into a disk instead of a ball, so it wasn't dry at all. It was very fresh with a little crunch in every bite. It was flavorful with minimal binding ingredients to "stretch" the recipe so fresh and ohh so good! Our stops at Blue Dream - beef curry, S & W Market - gourmet hotdog with chow chow, The Gourmet Chip Company - ham panini with in-house gourmet chips to die for. All ending up at French Broad Chocolate Boutique for a silky, comforting liquid truffle shot. I typically don't like dark chocolate, but this drink was so good, my Mom and I both bought the chips to make it at home. And that's why I love doing food tours, it exposes you to new and interesting restaurants, food, and people in your group are a hoot. As many times as I have been to Ashevile, these were all new restaurants for me and I loved the experience ..thanks Lindsey!
EXCELLENT food, history and experience. HIGHLY RECOMMEND What a wonderful tour of downtown and all the options the city offers!! Lindsay did a great job - really connected with the group. And, the group was open to talking to each other making it fun. The stops were AWESOME as we went places we would not have likely choosen. Great curry dish, shrimp tacos - OUTSTANDING grilled cheese with apples at the beer store, and the finishing chocolate drink was out of this world. We had been on a tasting tour in Savannah the day before which was very good - however, the selection of food - and amount to eat - was much more by Eating Asheville. Thank goodness we walked a ways 🙂
