Do I have to purchase tickets in advance?
Tickets must be purchased in advance as the tours can sell out quickly. Please reserve early to get your preferred day. Please call 828-489-3266.
What if it’s raining or snowing?
The tours are held rain or shine. Please check weather conditions and dress accordingly. Tickets are non-refundable and cannot be rescheduled. Occasionally, we will reserve the right to cancel a tour if there are not enough participants. If this occurs, we will refund your tickets or reschedule your tour.
Are bathrooms available on the tour?
Yes, there are numerous opportunities to use the restroom.
Does the tour end at the same place we meet?
Not always, but our Tour Guides will always walk you back to the starting place.
Do we just walk and eat?
Definitely not! Eating Asheville is all about historical facts, architecture, local culture and the culinary arts – all in a 2.5 hour experience.
Can I take photos?
Yes, we love and encourage it! Please be courteous of other tour participants if you plan on publishing your photos. And, be sure to tag your social media photos with #eatingasheville!
Is there parking near the starting point?
Yes, there are several parking lots and street parking near our Tour starting places. For Downtown tours there are parking garages on Wall St., at the Civic Center and Rankin Street; in West Asheville free parking is available at Grace Baptist Church and on the street. For the South Slope, parking is available on the street.
Is gratuity included?
Gratuities are not necessary for the restaurants & their staff. Your tour guides are always appreciative of tips, although they are not required.
What else should I know?
Eating Asheville tours acts only as an agent for the companies that supply food and beverages on the tours and cannot be held responsible for losses, delays, accidents, injuries, and delays caused by persons engaged in carrying out the services provided by the tour. Photos and/or video may be taken on the tour… please let us know if you would prefer not to be photographed and/or filmed.
Can I book a private tour?
All tours and custom tours are available privately. Please contact us here and we will respond within 24 hours.
Can you accommodate dietary restrictions?
We are happy to accommodate Vegetarian and Gluten Free diets on our tours - please let us know in advance of your tour by filling in the dietary restrictions question on the booking form.
For all other dietary restrictions, please call 828-489-3266 to check with us prior to booking.
How much food is served on the tour?
Eating Asheville tours serves enough food for most guests, lunch afterwards is not necessary. You can expect numerous small offerings at 6-7 stops.
Is the tour wheelchair/stroller accessible?
Yes, all tours comfortably accommodate strollers and wheelchairs.
Is the tour suitable for children?
At Eating Asheville, we love kids! Please keep in mind the tour is 2.5 hours long. If children intend on eating and participating in the tour, please purchase a ticket for them.
I live in Asheville. Is the tour fun for locals?
Absolutely! On our tours you will explore hidden places that you may not know about, have the opportunity to meet food experts, and learn new things about food. You will learn more about some of your favorite restaurants, and perhaps explore some great new ones, as well. It’s also a great way to entertain your visiting guests!

What happens after I buy?
Gift Certificates will be emailed to the lucky recipient immediately. Or you have the option to have a certificate mailed, which takes about 5 days.
Who can use the Gift Certificate?
Gift Certificates can be redeemed by anyone at the purchaser’s discretion within two years from the date of purchase.
