Halloween in Asheville

Greetings Foodtopia ghouls and ghosts! It’s that wonderful time of year, when the air gets chilly, the leaves start to change and downtown is filled with all kinds of fall adventures. Halloween is a particularly fun time in Asheville, with plenty of ways to celebrate! We’ve rounded up some events happening around downtown that are sure to make your Hallow’s Eve spooktacular!

Join us for our annual “HalloWINE” celebration

Our ravens and skulls are about the bar! Check out the typewriter with ghost writer as Jacob Marley welcomes you into the haunted library. Bring Fido by to trick or treat from our canine goody bag.
Of course, live music all weekend long!
Enjoy our new lounge furniture on the patio. Perfect for people watching on a beautiful fall weekend.
Large selection of books with haunted themes.
Annual tradition: Dramatic reading of Edgar Allen Poe’s classic,, “The Raven” at 3 and 5 Saturday. Enjoy your favorite wine or champagne while listening as Casey brings the haunting poem to life.

Death in the Afternoon champagne cocktail. $6

The Blind Pig Supper Club presents: Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark.

A coursed dinner menu to celebrate Halloween 2018 in homage to the 1981 childrens book series by Alvin Schwartz and illustrated by Stephen Gammell themed to folklore and urban legend. Join us for a Halloween costume contest, live spin, beer, wine, punch and custom cocktail specials with a deliciously creative 5 course evening menu. Late night Halloween party to follow.

Enjoy the flavors of the fall with a slice of Apple Spice vanilla cake and a salted caramel apple latte at French Broad Chocolate Lounge. Get your pumpkin beer fix with the unique “Fly By Night” pumpkin porter at Lexington Avenue Brewery. We also recommend the perfectly spiced Pumpkin Pie gelato at Asheville Chocolate.
