Greetings Foodtopia fans! We here at Eating Asheville are proud to offer a service where hungry local and visiting Ashevillian’s alike have the opportunity to satisfy their Foodtopia craving by experiencing so many of Asheville’s best restaurants in just one afternoon!! Of course, when it comes time to book this ultimate foodie experience, we are left with one big question: The Classic Tour or High Roller Tour?? A inquiry we get often here is what exactly is the difference? So we are here to give you a run down on our two Eating Asheville food tours, and exactly what you can expect from each one.
Our Classic Tour is where it all began from! This is the original Eating Asheville food tour, and offers the opportunity to visit several of Asheville’s best restaurants in the bustling foodtopia of Downtown Asheville. This $54 tour takes about 2.5 hours, includes at least 6 stops, dessert(!), and at least 3 drink pairings. The aim of the Classic Food tour is to showcase local favorites and hidden gems. The Classic Tour is a great way to discover the wide range of eateries that put Asheville on the Foodtopia Map. Asheville favorites such as Strada Italiano, Zambra and White Duck Taco are often featured on these tours. And the best news? Our Classic food tours are now available every day of the week!!
The High Roller Tour is similar in concept to the Classic Tour, but is more geared towards a true “foodie” experience. During the High Roller food tour we’ll take a walk on the finer side of Asheville’s culinary hotspots, sitting down to a diverse sampling of elegant food and drink pairings chosen by notable Asheville chefs and beverage experts. With stops including at least seven restaurants and bars, dessert, and at least one of Asheville’s James Beard nominated chefs on each tour, you’ll get a true understanding of why Asheville is a leader in the national culinary scene! Some restaurants you may see on the tour include Rhubarb, Table and Cucina 24 amongst many other of Asheville’s most popular restaurants!! You may experience our High Roller tours weekly Thursday-Saturday. Theses tours are $69 and run about 2.5-3 hours.
Each daily walking food tour is lead by an EA tour guide (aka an expert ambassador of Asheville’s food scene), who will be your personal concierge for the duration of your tour and leave you full of delicious Asheville food and an abundance of Asheville knowledge!! Something else you may look forward to on our Eating Asheville food tours is personal interaction with some of Asheville’s best chefs as well as knowledgeable staff members, all giving you an inside look at the thriving culinary scene in Asheville!
