Celebrating Father’s Day in Asheville

by Eating Asheville

Tod's Tasties

Happy Father’s Day to all our amazing Dad’s out there in Foodtopia! We know you want to thank your Pops for being the best there is- so we’ve rounded up some of the tastiest ways to celebrate Dad in Asheville this weekend!

AUX BarFirst, you’ll want to start your celebrations off right Saturday evening with a 5-course chef’s pairing dinner at AUX Bar. for this event, AUX Bar welcomes Chef Ricardo Fernandez originally from Buenos Aires Argentina and of the former Lomo Grill. Join Chefs Steve Goff and Mike Moore along with Chef Ricardo for an authentic coursed Argentine menu and wine pairing. Seats are limited so be sure to snag your space ASAP.  More information on the event available here.

On Sunday be sure to check out the Father’s Day cookout at Tod’s Tasties. Chef Jacob Sessoms will be manning the grill during this annual Father’s Day tradition. This is one of our favorite yearly Father’s Day celebrations full of great food and drinks, fun times and sunshine.

Does Dad like beer?? If so you guys are in luck; did you know that Asheville now has 1 brewery for every 41 residents? That’s a number worth toasting to! And while you’re at it, give a toast to Dad. Two of our favorite breweries are right in downtown; Bhramari Brewhouse and Lexington Avenue Brewery. LAB hosts a Gypsy

Brunch at LAB
Brunch at Lexington Avenue Brewery

Jazz Brunch Every Sunday from 12-3 with great tunes and delicious food and drinks specials you’re not going to want to miss.

Asheville always does brunch right, and Father’s Day brunch is no exception! Some of our favorite brunch spots include Rhubarb, Strada Italiano, Table and Isa’s French Bistro.

The Waterbird

Also happening Sunday is the weekly farmers market at The Waterbird. Grab a toasty coffee or a refreshing cocktail from The Waterbird Asheville and enjoy an afternoon with local products and community fun! Vendors will include Roots and Fruits Market & Cafe, House Soda co. and one of our all time favorites- The Rhu!

Eating Asheville - Walking Food ToursThis weekend Eating Asheville will be doing food tours every day- with 4 tours to choose from on both Friday and Saturday!
