Happy 4th Foodtopia fans!! Today is a day to reflect on all that we are grateful for in this wonderful country of ours. Here at Eating Asheville we count ourselves lucky to live in a place so full of farm fresh produce and talented chefs who know just what do with it. Like most Asheville holidays, we find the best way to celebrate is with delicious food! So we’ve rounded up some fun events happening at several of Asheville’s best restaurants that are sure to help your 4th of July be a success.
Social Lounge
Join us on the rooftop tonight for a community celebration of our country’s independence. Live music and precision drinks all night, along with specials on all wines for Wine Wednesday. Happy Independence day, Asheville.
DoughP Doughnuts
Yea gearing up for the 4th!! If y’all are downtown for the festivities stop in! Serving up 
a special “4th of July menu” featuring products from Chop Shop Butchery and Southern Smoke BBQ and of course Doughp Doughnuts (the doughnuts we make in house!)
Battery Park Book Exchange
Come warm up for the fireworks at the Book Exchange! We have wine specials running all day, plus a great book display all about the fourth. Closing at 7 so our staff can enjoy the big show.
Of course we can’t forget about the 4th of July fireworks downtown! Join in the fun in Pack Square Park starting at 2 PM on July 4th at the Ingles Independence Day Celebration. Children’s activities, Splashville and bouncy house 2-6 PM. Live music after 5 PM. Headliner Larry Keel Experience starts at 8 PM. Ultimate Air Dogs at 2, 4, 6 and 7:30 PM. Beer and wine will be available for purchase. Fireworks at 9:30 PM can be best seen from the park. Bring your chair or blanket to picnic. Buy from 10+ food trucks or local restaurants. Some of our favorite places are right off Pack Square! We recommend Rhubarb, Bomba, DoughP Doughnuts or Polanco.
