Calling all Asheville food lovers! Your annual opportunity to enjoy some of Asheville’s best restaurants all under one roof is finally here! This year the Grand Tasting of Asheville Wine and Food festival will be held August 20th in the US Cellular Center, and will offer event go-ers the rare opportunity to experience many of Asheville’s most revered restaurants all in one night!!
The festival is by far the largest of it’s kind here in Asheville featuring over 100 local Asheville restaurants, bars and producers! Some of our personal favorites will be at the event including Table, Nightbell, Strada Italiano, 67 Biltmore, Sante Wine Bar, Storm Rhum Bar and Bistro, and MG Road. And, while you will come for the food, you will stay for the many other Asheville treats including local brews, wineries, and artisan food producers.
In between mouthfuls, make sure you take advantage of all the local chefs and farmers who will be at the festival ready to answer any questions and give you an inside look into the Asheville culinary scene!
Of course, no Asheville food experience is complete without dessert! Two of our favorite sweet spots; French Broad Chocolates and The Hop Ice Cream will be at the Festival dishing out some of their delectable goodies. And (because life is far too short to eat dessert last…) this year the festival will offer an event Friday evening called “Sweet”, which will feature all kinds of desserts, sparkling wines, and beer all set to a background of live music by the Reggie Sullivan Band!
