Chef Jamie Shares Our Vidalia Onion Bisque On WLOS13
Our very own Chef Jamie recently shared our delectable Vidalia Onion Bisque with WLOS13 viewers. With corn crunchies and roasted mushrooms, this creamy dish is the perfect way to impress guests at your next gathering. Be sure to check out the video for more preparation tips!
Vidalia Onion Bisque Ingredients
4 Vidalia Onions sliced
1 stalk celery rough chopped
1 cup heavy cream
1 tablespoon salt
In a heavy bottom pot over medium-low heat add onions, celery, salt and a splash of water. Slowly “melt” the onions until they become very tender (about 1 hour). If you notice the liquid evaporating before the onions are tender add more water. When the onions are tender add heavy cream and cook for an additional 10 minutes. Puree the soup until smooth. Enjoy!
