“Asheville Cocktail Week is a celebration of the art of mixology and craft spirits, combining the best talent and trends the industry has to offer. This week long event provides something for everyone from industry to the occasional cocktail drinker.”
Asheville Cocktail Week: May 1st-7th.
Greetings Foodtopia fans! One of the best parts of living in a food enthusiast town is that attention to quality food and quality cocktails go hand in hand! We are so lucky to have so many wonderful craft cocktail bars and talented mixologists in Asheville… and even luckier for the opportunity to celebrate them with this year’s second annual Asheville Cocktail Week! If it’s anything like last year’s event- which included 26 events, 12 venues and 30 mixologists- we are ready for another fun and delicious week full of craft cocktails! This year we are excited to mark our calendars for many events including the Cruzan Tiki dinner at Cucina 24, Martini Madness at Social Lounge and a Courvoisier Pairing dinner at Table!
Below is detailed information about the event from the creators of Asheville cocktail week:
“Launched in May 0f 2016, Asheville Cocktail Week became the first full week long cocktail event in the Southeast. After four successful years of our one day mixology event, ELIXIR, the decision was made to expand the week. Year one included a bloody mary competition, guest bartenders, Cinco de Mayo tequila tastings, cocktail crawls, educational seminars, spirit pairing dinners, dance parties, a Kentucky Derby Party by the river with and so much more. Mixologists traveled across the country to participate in our first year sponsored by Beam Suntory. With the growing number of regional distilleries, the event gains ground on being one of the largest cocktail and distilling events.
Keep an eye on the website for 2017 Asheville Cocktail Week event announcements. We aim to have a variety of events at every price point so that no one is excluded from participating in ACW. This year we look forward to building on the foundation we built last year and involving even more distilleries, bars, mixologists, and sponsors to create the week long party.”
Of course the hardest part of Asheville Cocktail Week is deciding which events to imbibe in! For details on event specifics including descriptions, times and prices can be found on the Asheville Craft Cocktail Week website. We look forward to seeing you there!
